WEATHER IN LANZAROTE

Close to the equator, the weather in lanzarote can be very pleasant all year round with low rainfall. Temperatures can be expected to stay high.

Although the temperature is usually consistent, lansazrote experiences hot spells caused by hot air being drawn in from the  Sahara desert, sometimes the air contains sand, this is known locally a Calima. The hot spells tend to be infrequent and usually only last 2 – 3 days.
